A stray brute emerges from the depths of the forest, moving about the ground agilely. His deep chestnut orbs search the ground as his drenched, foul bodice lingers about. He approaches a fence, clearly an obstacle for even a horse. He stands at it for a moment, pondering a way to get around it. Finally, he takes a few steps back and leaps forward, scaling the obstacle skillfully. He lands gracefully on all fours on the other side of the fence, his nose sniffing the scent that the horse had left. The scent was familiar... He had known it, yet he couldn't seem to put the scent and a beast together. He treads towards the barn where there were many other horses, but the boy and the girl leading the horse back in caught his attention. His ears fall 'pon his crania as a soft growl is emitted from his throat. It wasn't threatening. It was simply a warning to the horse, telling it not to do anything stupid. He didn't care about the humans, though they probably thought he was growling at them. His hazel lookers search the faces of the humans as he stands about twenty feet from the them, attempting to read their expressions. He was a dog that was meant to serve humans, and he had. He had trudged through the forest to come 'pon this beautiful place. Previously, he had been an army dog and not many things had scared him. His human companion had died in war, and he was shipped to a pound because there was an overload of mutts. When they were unloading the truck, he had managed to slip away, running for his life. Since then, he had been a street dog, wandering his way about mother earth. His fur was matted, and there were streaks of blood on his chest. This beast was absolutely stunning. All he needed was a little bit of love and a warm bath.
