Day gives in to twilight, and the pale blue sky darkens to a dusky indigo. A few stars begin to twinkle in the shadowy sky. Some see the night as a time of danger, and they stray to there homes. Astrid views the night as a time for living. She thrives in the shadows. They are her world.

Her footsteps are soundless as she strolls down the pathway. Ebony waves cascade down her shoulders to her mid back. Her eyes are in truth dark blue, though they appear black under the darkening sky. Her skin is fair. She seems to be a young woman of 18 or 19. Astrid pauses by the fountain and watches the flow of water for a moment before she perches on the fountain's edge. She appears relaxed, though if a person knew her well enough they would know that was only an illusion. She appears calm but her senses are keen and she is very much alert. Her dark eyes scan the landscape almost nonchalantly.
