Hello - just read these messages with interest.I also had the St Eds experience 1969-1970, like many I found it quite tough. Many staff you mention were there during my time, including Dave Dattner, Tom Bomber Brennan, Des Doyle, Brickhead, Arthur, Crowther, Harding, Johnny Swords, Hoskin, catering supervisor Su-Su (Jesus!) I also had the Dave Dattner excursion experience: 3 peaks, Hag Dyke, Cheddar Gorge, which was great. Dave also brought a group of Jewish teens to Hag Dyke at same time as us, so experience was "enhanced" by presence of some very nice girls! Although I never had any further contact with him, which I regret, I am aware Dave died January 2012 in Tooting Hospital aged 90.He was a rare and special bloke. Cheers. Ian.
