>> Hi I was there 1967/68 12 months to the dayalmost, i remmeber while on induction cleaners, we did the corridor outside the govenors office and the admin, while a couple of guys kept watch two dived into the govenors office found the new inmate arrival book, we looked up our names and found our release dates, 12 months each, we always thought this was arranged to give us something to look forward to, because it was too easy.
i stitched the pyjama leg of the leader of our induction billet, forget his name, however when he came back from watching the tele pushed his foot straight through the leg, ripping it off and wore as a nightcap. absolutely hilarious. He broke my nose two weeks down the road for what he thought , i was talking about him and slagging him off, another case of mistaken identity, never-mind i was well looked after, after that, extra grub, triffick trousers and trendy shirts all altered by the lads. I could write a book and i enjoyed my time there, learnt a trade which i have used ever since.
anyone out there from that time get in touch be great to hear from you, i'm 67 now. I think I have learned my lesson. Lol
