>somthing to be done...HI KEN.I WAS AT THORP ARCH GRANGE FROM 1966 to1970,IN TOTAL 3 AND A HALF YEARS.YOU MUST HAVE BEEN A RIGHT PAIN IN THE ARSE TO GET THE CANE 3 TIMES.IN ALL THE TIME I WAS THERE I NEVER EVER KNEW OF ANY LAD GETTING THE CANE MORE THAN ONCE,AND THAT WAS USUALY FOR RUNNING AWAY.I CAN ONLY EVER REMEMBER ABOUT 6 LADS WHO GOT THE CANE..I WENT TO COURTNEY STREET SCHOOL IN HULL,I GOT 6 OF THE BEST EVERY DAY,JUST FOR TALKING IN CLASS.THAT HOSPITAL NEXT DOOR TO THORP ARCH GRANGE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SCHOOL NEITHER WAS THE OPEN PRISON OPPOSITE,OR THE REMAND CENTRE UP THE ROAD.WHAT HOUSE WAS YOU IN KEN,OR WHAT COLOUR WAS YOUR TIE,REMEMBER YOUR PEG NUMBER.MINE WAS NUMBER 21.
