I remember being so shocked when I first came across that in the washroom. I was on recall and a couple of the daddies of the wing were friends of my older brothers, so I was kind of looked after so to speak. They hated the blacks and the blacks hated them (the rest of us just got along with each other) and often fights would just *happen*, usually in the washroom...they'd be over in seconds and everyone would scarper.. One incident I was in the washroom next day and the big copper water pipes on the wall had a large dent in them from a flying sock of snooker balls. If that had hit anyone it would have killed them. Before that I always thought fights were more a scrappy thing and no real harm done. This was a wake up call that someone could actually want to hurt people so badly!!

Yup it was real enough.
