Subject: The Fanfic Challenges

Hmmm well I know for a fact that here in the D/A board, that most of the posters are fanfic writers and since so many people CLAIM they don't have any idea of what to write, then why don't we post fanfic challenges? That usually helps on the other nonAngel/BTVS boards I go on when it gets kinda slow.

So everyone knows how challenges work so need to explain, except those who write the best version of the fic (decided by an appointed judge for the certain challenge)


Fanfic Challenge #1

The Future Fic (AU)
Must have: Darla/Angel (friendship or romance) Drusilla and Spike, Angel Investigations. Cameo appearances of Lorne or a descendant of Lorne

Angel's moved from LA to Manhatten after Cordelia's death (natural death) you must establish the fact that AI is still up in running with a new fang gang, beginning with Angel have only one secretary who is a closet Watcher sent to keep an eye on him (she must also be Irish!!) You need a reason to get Angel and his secretary to LA. The Hyperion is still standing but has a new look, Caritas has moved into the Hotel because Angel's given Lorne ownership.

Also you must have: Introductions of the following characters:
Acea: newest slayer an amateur who doesn't even know how to throw a good punch
Ailing: Chinese spell caster of your choice who's bad at what she does
Norm: Guy with an attitude who's a descendant of Cordelia and becomes Angel's new vision guy
Ellie: Closet Watcher who acts like a total ditz but is really covering up her actual personality, she becomes Acea's slayer

Wolfram and Hart are still around trying to start the End of Days. Angel has some big battle with a big bad and resolves his feelings for Darla in a positive manner. The family gets together again and the new fang gang are killed. However this ends and goes is up to you.


Fanfic Challenge #2

The Dream Episode
(This is the dream episode I wished for when someone on the ASSB asked about it)
Must Have: Darla, the Son (any name you want), Angel
FG is optional

D/A romance
Father and son bonding
Liam and father flashbacks
Destruction of Half of LA
Angel's Shanshu

However long you want after Epiphany, a personal loss for Angel starts dragging him to the dark side and his son who looks about 17 years old but can be as old as you want (ie: Two months and he's just been growing rapidly or five hundred years because he ages slowly or 17 because it HAS been seventeen years after) is part of a prophecy and has any sort of powers you want (super strength, whatever). Angel eventually becomes Angelus and his Son fight we have flashbacks to when Angel was Liam and how problems with his own father and what drove him to drinking. Angelus's key role in the prophecy for the End of Days comes true and he becomes a vessel for the Senior Partners' essence while his Son becomes the vessel for the TPTB's essence, the two fight which destroys half of LA, finally at the end his Son restores Angelus' soul, but Angel is still being possessed by the SP and so he continues on fighting his Son until finally Angel's able to drive the outer forces out of him, but the SP just jump to a new host (whomever you want) and turns the new host into a ugly demon looking thing.


Fanfic Challenge #3

The Speculation Fic
Must have: Darla

Darla is living in the Virginia colonies as a young girl (15-21) and we see her life progress from the perfectly normal girl whose parents were pretty wealthy but bad at the parenting thing, thus Darla is ignored by them and finally her family die (demon of your choice) the story progresses to when she's a whore and discovers she has syphillis and it must end at the point where the Master is singing to her from outside her bedroom and she invites her in. These are flashbacks from the present when Darla leaves Lindsey in Epiphany and ends up in Honduras where she comes to conflict with some of the local demons and realizes that she's pregnant.


Fanfic Challenge #4

The Sister fic
This is a fic I'm currently writing and I'd really like to someone else's version of it.

Must have: Angel/Liam, Kathleen *Darla is optional

Flashbacks to all of the fun times Liam and Kathleen had together
Kathleen being brought back to life by Wolfram and Hart and meeting up with Angel again, she has a hard time adapting to present, but eventually does.
Angel and Kathleen bonding
Kathleen turns out is dying because of a curse and Angel is given a choice, he gives up his soul for Kathleen's life
Resolution is up to you.


Fanfic Challenge #5


The Fearsome Four fic
Must have: Angelus, Darla, Drusilla and Spike

Timeframe is anything time before 1898 and after 1874
Angelus/Darla romance
Dru/Spike romance
The Fearsome Four have a nasty run in with a powerful Wicca family that casts a medley of spells on them and finally Angelus makes a decision to face off with them.
Anything else is up to you

So if anyone else has any other challenges then reply!!! If you have a response then please post them!!!!
