I'm thinking this is for "Lullaby." I think "Quickening" focuses on Darla going to the hospital, getting tested, trying to figure out what the baby is, Holtz's return, and that sort of thing.

Minear said that episode 9 "Lullaby" is the culmination of an event. So I'm guessing Darla runs away from the Fang Gang at the last minute and gives birth in this episode.

But then again, oh shoot! I'm confusing myself. If this is a TV Guide description then since we've already read the one for Quickening, the two don't match, but who knows?

Man, I'm really liking this development with Darla. Finally we are getting a testament, something textually based to some "grayness" with the character. Man, that's so sweet.

This is very good folks and eases my worries over episode 7 and 8.

My bet is that Khali is right. Near the end of episode 9, we'll have a happy scenario. Darla and Angel will be with their healthy baby. Notice that Lilah comes across a prophecy about the baby? I'm thinking this is one the Fang Gang doesn't know about. They just know about the "upcoming evil that'll destroy mankind." But back to what I was saying, then out of no where someone who's been observing them for a while will swoop down and kidnap Darla and the baby.

And that person will be Holtz.
