Subject: Just finished watching 'Darla' and wondered why Angel said that she damned him?

How could she have damned him when it was prophesised thousands of years ago that a vampire with a soul would be a champion for good? Wasn't Darla only playing her part in the prophecy. If anyone damned him wouldn't it have been the monks or even the PTB's, or whoever wrote the prophecy? Maybe this prophecy damned them both? Otherwise, pre-Darla dies the way she was suppose to the first time and Liam dies from kidney disease from too much alcohol consumption. And then the whole world is screwed.

And now this new prophecy Lilah supposedly finds about the two of them meant to have a child. Does this suggest Darla was never meant to die but be a reborn again vampire? When Holland was being his cryptic-self (must say I liked him), saying he hoped Angel would save her, is it believable to think that he knew of this prophecy? He did say Darla was a tool. So maybe Angel was suppose to turn her but when W&H saw that it wouldn't happen they brought Dru into the equation? And why Dru? They have vampires working for them, why not use one of their own, wouldn't she have been more W&H abiding/controllable if a vamp on their payroll sired her? That was a costly risk.

My mind is always jumping all over the place.
:)Dawn
