I lied in my spot
Beside the oceans rocks
Watching the waves crash againts my heart
Tearing me slowly, methodically apart
Wishing I could be a mermaid
Swimming without a care calmly in the sea
Wishing I was anyone
Anyone but girl I let myself be
In the irony of you, I was consumed
You picked apart my bones as you licked your lips
The intense fire with every touch on my hips
It was shocking how I let you in
It was shocking how it all began
I scented your smell..not close enough to taste
I scented your love..it was mixed with hate
So, as I lie in my spot
Beside the ocean rocks
I picture my self a fish
Wadeing in the shallow water
Noticing you..the seagull overtop of me
Crouching in the gray mist
Your eyes peice my soul
And my silent cries
Saying.. Please fly away
You've done enough harm
