I can see through you, you can not hide
I see all the anger, hope, and fear
That you try to keep locked deep inside

I see the hurt reflected in your eyes

Perhaps that is why you do not leave
Yet how you could, I fail to see

Many years together we have shared
Difficult hardships we have faced

I guess that is not so easily erased

Yes, I can see what goes on inside you
I have come to know you so very well

I know you better than you know yourself
