Dear Anggun fans,
My name is Antoine Gouiffes-Yan from SME France and I have read your messages with strong interest. The 2 vocal featurings of Anggun on Cam's Summer in Paris and Deep Forest's Deep Blue Sea are artistic projects Anggun has been invited to work on. fyi, Cam is a very trendy and famous dj. The single 'Summer in Paris' is currently meeting massive trend-setter radio & club airplay : #1 RMC FM playlist (one of Italy's biggest radio network), #1 101 FM Groove Playlist (Italy), the track is playlisted on ALL trendy radio stations in France (FG, Nova) and has just climbed to #3 on the prestigious Masters at Work playlist (USA). The video has just been completed (featuring Anggun). MTV-F (French-speaking Europe) will start playing the video on TOP ROTATION July 1st at 80 plays a week. MTV-South (Italy, etc.) will also start to play the video on their 'Breaker playlist' (high rotation). PLS REQUEST THE VIDEO 'SUMMER IN PARIS' ON MTV, VIVA, CHANNEL V, VH-1 AND ALL OTHER TV STATIONS N*O*W... Re: Deep Forest, their critically-acclaimed album has just entered the Japanese International Album Charts at #21. In France, the album is expected to enter the charts next week. But these 2 projects are not the stuff Anggun is currently working on. Anggun was happy accepting invitations from these 2 artists because Deep Forest and Cam are critically acclaimed artists with strong artistic credibility. But it DOES NOT MEAN this will be the musical orientation of Anggun's new album. There will be a NEW album coming first quarter of 2003, with tracks produced by the biggest producers. I repeat : the BIGGEST producers. Anggun has already started working on the songs and the reason why it is taking so long is because we only want outstanding songs to be on the album. But don't panic, for theose who will not be able to wait until 1st quarter of 2003, there will be new Anggun songs before 2003. Anggun has recorded songs for a soundtrack to be released fall 2002. This new movie is produced by European film company 'Dogma'. For those who don't know Dogma, their last production was 'Dancer in the Dark' starring Bjork and Catherine Deneuve (Cannes Film Festival Grand Prize and Best Female Award for Bjork at Cannes's Film Festival in 2000). This soundtrack will not be a proper Anggun's album but lots of songs (including hit singles) will be performed by Anggun. Be patient.
Talk 2 u soon.
