I've never read such a load of crap in my whole life.

The contrails are left by commercial airliners which occupy every flight level from the surface to 46,000 feet. Over the NW of England is the second busiest airways crossroads in the UK which is why you see so many trails.

If secret planes were zipping around over Manchester and landing at Shannon don't you think the hundreds of plane spotters at the airport would say something about them?

"Every US and UK relevant dept denies anything like this is happening"....well maybe thats because its a figment of your overactive imagination.

"Planes leaving thick white expanding trails usually fly March to October at least, and usually when weather is mild to warm, and dry, with winds 5-10 mph only"

These statements are simply not true.

The reason that all the planes you see in the morning come from the northwest is that the majority of flights from the USA to Europe arrive early morning, and then return to the States throughout the day (hence your "Shannon" thing...).

"They fall and thicken quickly leaving the telltale doughnut on a rope shape"

Oh right so now its an "Aurora" leaving the contrails....
