Once, I thought that the goal of my meditative efforts was to become a detached OBSERVER to the things I was attached to. My body, thoughts, feelings, moods, ideas, etc.

Now I know differently.

The observer is still apart from that which is being observed. No matter what you choose to observe, what you observe is always apart from you the observer. It's the nature of the dance of dualism.

Unless, of course, the observer and the observed were to meld into one. No subject, no object; just one.

But then, you become a WITNESS to it all... as one.

Let me put it another way, for simplicity sake.

It's the difference between... I see you.... and... I see me seeing you.

Feel the difference.

You cannot understand the difference with your mind, because your mind is The Great Differentiator... or the creator of difference.

You can only feel the difference between the two experiences.

I see you... and... I see me seeing you.
