Subject: Desire

We differentiate ourselves by what we desire. And we assign or take value away from each other according to what we desire.

Be it person, place, or thing (states of mind included), we desire that which we believe we don't have, or we desire not to have that which we believe we do have. All desires are forms of these two movements of life.

What we desire is not what matters... even though we have created a world where it does.

It's that we simply desire that makes all the difference.

Desiring something that you believe you don't have... and desiring not to have something that you believe you do have... puts you anywhere but the present.

Our desiring keeps us from the present.

[> Bondage and Freedom -- BonsaiBiker, 22:02:54 09/25/01 Tue

So you desire to be free from whatever you believe binds you, eh?

Are you free when you are no longer bound?

Or are you free when you no longer desire freedom from that which you believe binds you?

when you no longer desire to be free from that which you believe binds you.

You experience a freedom that is not a freedom from being bound.

You experience a freedom from chasing your tail of desiring to be free.

[> Peace of Mind -- BonsaiBiker, 22:13:56 09/25/01 Tue

To everyone who has told me that they desire peace of mind in their lives more than anything else... and they are legions... take heart.

There is nothing else that needs to be done.

Just un-do or stop doing what you've been doing thus far.

Can you take a wild guess as to what that might be?

*laughs*
