I'd have to say that I don't understand your insistence that ANY band, artist, writer, whatever should continue to create in his own little garret as a measure of his credibility. How long after he's dead then will you permit him to become successful? Oh, hang on... "Success" = "sellout", yes?

On the matter of the "mini-metallers" (mentioned under another topic), wouldn't you be doing more of a service to your preferred musical style by imparting your obvious wisdom TO the younger fans ABOUT the other factors of the scene instead of blanket dismissing everyone who knows nothing about it? Otherwise it seems to the rest of us that you're just involved in some form of musical masturbation.

I'd welcome the use of the forum to discuss ALL aspects of metal music, in an informative, non-injurious way, and if the mainstream magazines aren't telling the full story, perhaps people like your good self would make more converts by writing something informative here. I hope you accept the invitation.
