In gaining clues to past experiances, we only need to be aware of different things which seem familiar to us or bring emotion to the surface.
For example, the Civil War brings lots of emotion to the surface in me. It does in many people, I have found.
Interests in specific periods in history, certain foods or cultures are clues. When coming in to contact with with "that familar feeling", I have found that, if I let that feeling "flow" and pay attention to the impressions, I gain clues and information.
I had a reincarnation astrology chart done. I was amazed at the number of issues and suspicions that I had which were confirmed in this analysis.
It is not a good thing however, to be so involved in past life study, that we lose focus on our present one. Cayce's comment to those who may have been merly courious was, "are ye courious or are ye seriouse". What he was saying is, are you going to use the information I am about to give you to improve yourself, or did you just want a "look see".
On the flip side, I think that it is a good thing, in having faults or circomstances that we are having particular difficulty in addressing, that we understand the karmic manifestations of these conditions. Just as important, in inderstanding our own karma, we are not self-condemning.
Anyway, just some thoughts,
