Morning Vicki,

Funny you speak of material things. I too have no need for them and find that they hamper more than assist in my development.

For instance, if we didnt have to pay the mortgage/rent we would not have to work. If we did not have to work we would have more time to think about things most important to our very spirits. We could spend more time in nature. Plant food to eat. So much would be quiet and calm. If only we didnt have to pay the mortgage/rent. I think at many levels money, rent, mortgage, work, are all "things" that keep us under the veil instead of outside it.

It seems the more we have, the more we want and the more we want, the less we are in touch with our very spiritual selves and what those "selves" require.

It is like a circle that keeps on going round and round. Going round and round makes one dizzy and makes it impossible to have a true focus.

How to back away from a material world when all around is so focused on it? That is the question.

I think one way is through quiet times found in meditation and prayer and nature or anything that brings peace and inner calm to the spirit.

Another way is simply to throw it all in, move to a cabin in the woods or a tent on a mountain. One would say that that way is an escape. Maybe. Maybe not.

Those are some of my many thoughts this morning.

Namaste
Robin
