Hi Ani:

Thanks but yes unfortunately I have already heard the bad news. God you think any "sane" government even if Bin Laden was innocent would have handed him over to avoid this. You got to wonder how their ( The Taliban) minds must work. I fail to see how the Taliban can justify not turning him over when they knew this was going to be the result. Well I guess we can say good bye to the 8 Christian workers that were sacrificed ( they will never survive now ).

I also find it quite unusual that the British newspaper reporter was freed just this morning. I wonder why they let her go ? Very strange . However my wife who is on the other side of the coin feels that maybe they were hoping this act would prevent this attack and Britain from joining in.

I can't help but feel this has got to escalate into a global conflict of unprecedented atrocity and death and destruction. I sure would not want to be at a football or baseball game in the US right now.

I remember reading a news article back in 1973 that predicted that the next world conflict would originate in The Middle East. This was right in the middle of the cold war and I have always been expecting it. But a global war over Afghanistan, seems pretty ridiculous to me. I can't help but feel with the prowress of the CIA they could have got in and assassinated the leaders of The Taliban. Maybe I am just giving them too much credit but they were sure effective in Central and South America. I wonder why they ( The CIA ) can not be this effective over there ( The Middle East ). My wife suggests that they just don't look middle eastern but surely they must have Arab and Afghan agents.

Anyway, I guess we can just sit and wait and see what this all leads to.
