This plundering thing really works. I can't beleive we didn't think of it earlier.

I reran from October 2491. Sent the three tiremes in October 2491 and June 2490 (after repairing them). Sent 11 companies of eight horsemen and one company of 4 in November 2491. In May 2490, the eights came back as 5s and the four as 2. Plundering for drachmas was not available again until June 2490. By then the horsemen had returned home and consolidated into 5 companies of 8, 1 of 6, and 2 of 5. I sent these all out plundering in June. The result was 27 plunders each of 4000 or 3200 drachmas in the last 15 months. No estates devolved due to lack of armor or horses.

Score 5,509 (23 estates, 3 sanctuaries, 432,125 drachma, 6179 people). My population was down this time due to a "lack of fleece" event. I might rerun taking care of this, or I might start from several years earlier and plunder throughout the game. In either case, a higher score should be possible.

Also note BobT's reply on the CBC forum. You can send in a second game even if you have already submitted. So come on team, rerun the last year or two and plunder away!
