The bible clearly teaches that GOD doesn't hear sinners .And those who have been freed from sin how can they be a slave any longer there of. Now I know we still have a sin nature but when we are born again shouldn't our new life be one of righteousness and holiness , Aren't we now saints, once we are saved and empowered by the holy spirit to have victory over sin? Shouldn't we say we (were) sinners saved by grace? 1 Cor. 6:9-11 Paul says sinners have no part in the kingdom of GOD,he says but such as (WERE) some of you vs.11 but you were washed ,sanctified,and justified by CHRIST.If we are taught we are just sinners, doesn't that set us up to fail,I know when I first became a christian my mind set was ooh well I'm just a sinner, so why not sin ? God will forgive me. It wasn't until I looked for that saying in the bible and couldn't find it and I found that we are called saints and not sinners and that we have power and victory over sin that I started fighting the fight of faith and started to see I now have power by grace to walk away from sin, I still struggle but it is a struggle to walk by faith and not a fight against sin, that fight has been won at the cross! Gal. 3:22, But the scriptures says ALL are under sin but the promise by faith in JESUS CHRIST that they will be given life to all who believe. Eph 2:8 for it is by grace you have been saved. I must admit I struggled for years with the concept of Christ like works (as with the Law) to be pleasing to God and simply standing in and being in the "Grace of God". For I am no longer under the Law. I my case, the Law is always slipping in to destroy the mind set of my position as being in the "Grace of God". That is completely apart from the Law.
