Even if the statement that they are born as a homosexual was/is valid. Jesus said you have to be born AGAIN and become a NEW creature. If you are not willing to die to everything that God's word requires, you are not worthy of Him (as per the Word). It is true that we should treat all others with love, but truth is the best love and sometimes truth hurts.
You know, now pedophiles say that they are born that way (they cannot help that they desire children and always have), and many murderers say their violent ways are genetic. Does that mean that God will send them to heaven if they don't CHANGE their ways? God forbid! That's why Jesus asks if you know the true cost in following him, because to truly follow him you have to be willing to give up everything that God is against and His word states that they shall not see him and shall burn. So, even in not trying to justify how they were born (I was born to be an alcoholic according to my family history, and we were all born as sexual beings, but if we give into those we commit the sin of drunkenness and fornication/adultery), we all must be willing to sacrifice, die to ourself - die to who we were born as, and be born again to the standard that God holds acceptable as indicated by His word, if we want to share in eternity with Him.
By the grace of God,
Kelvin
Side Note: In being honest about the situation, what it all boils down to is sex. If a man finds another man (or woman another woman) as a close friend that he can confide in, they are just close friends. If a man admires the appearance of another man (or woman another woman) such as the way bodybuilders compliment eachother on their muscular definition, it is still okay. The definitive factor that makes it a sin is the lust, the sexual acts. So, if a man cannot contain himself, he should marry (per the Word). In the case where he doesn't have such attraction to a woman, he should become a eunich (ultimately refrain from the sexual act and stop identifying himself in the sin). Think about it in view of the heterosexual. If an average guy does the sexual act or lusts after a WOMAN, he is STILL sinning in fornication. If he cannot get married, he should gird himself into abstinance/celibacy and stand on righteousness. If he continues to go around saying, "I'm a fornicator" AS THOUGH IT IS OKAY, then he is not truly repentent. Whether it was the homosexual or the heterosexual, sex outside of God's requirement (between HUSBAND and WIFE), even in thought, is sin and should be repented for. Honestly, sexual orientation is not as much of the issue as giving in to sexual desires that God doesn't approve, period. You might not be able to help what temptations come to you, but you have complete choice of whether you give into them, whether you say those acts are okay, or whether you stand for God and fight those desires and refrain from them.
Based on the word of God though, ANY SEXUAL ACTIVITY other than between a HUSBAND and WIFE, is considered sin and should be fleed from IF YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR ETERNITY WITH GOD INSTEAD OF WITH SATAN. It doesn't get much simpler than that.
