Subject: My Mom Is Near Death.... Author: MarkM [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 21:22:00 03/24/08 Mon Hello I am having an extremely difficult time right now. This last Saturday, Hospice brought my mother home to die. My mother is 74 years old and is in the last stages of Alzheimer’s, she can no longer eat or swallow on her own. My dad’s wishes and my moms was, there will be no feeding tube/s. She is starving to death. She also only has only one kidney, and that kidney has stopped working, Along with all this she has an incurable urinary tract fungus that is poising and spreading throughout her body. So what’s happening is, my mom will pass away, at home, this week or next. For myself, the heart sick pain of all this, is so unbearable, I almost went to the hospital late last night thinking I was having a heart attack.
