Alright already!!! Geez, give me a chance to recoup from the weekend!! hubby was eliminated in the first round but at least he didn't "crash" or break anything!! My 11 year old called me from a sleepover party last weekend and asked to be picked up. Seems the "mom"-in-charge thought R-rated thriller movies were appropriate for a group of 10-11 year old girls. I don't allow that in my house and would especially not allow it unless I informed the other parents and had permission. I need your advice. Am I too protective, or are they too permissive? Separation is needed or we end up like Iraq was. The interpretation of the separation is what's gotten out of whack. The government cannot make everyone be one religion. It is a freedom OF religion but too many are trying to make it a freedom FROM religion. I don't understand what the big offense is, or the threat. I mean, I am Catholic, and my calendar has Yom Kippur, Kwanza etc on it. Should I feel threatened? Is it a conspiracy to make me Jewish or convert to black heritage? Well...here it is again....almost school time. I , for one, am not ready to send my kids back to school. OKI have to do a little bit of bragging. My 14 year old daughter saved a life this weekend. She was at a pool party and a 17 month old little girl was walking around the pool unattended. The little girl came up to my daughter and said "hi" and Jessie said "hi" back and the little girl w ent on her way. A minute later, Jessie heard a splash and saw the little girl sinking to the bottom. Jess ,without even thinking about it, jumped in after the little girl and saved her. YOU ROCK,JESS!! Guess depends where and what I am eating. If eating out and the salad is first then the hot food but when there is no salad I like to eat the hot items first before the salad so the food is still warm when I eat. I've got a story to share with everyone....& also a warning. DON'T EVER call collect to anyone. I just got my phone bill where clancy had to call me collect...on a Sat night at midnight. We talked for 2 minutes & would you believe AT&T charged me $19.62! I called them & talked to 3 different people about this high cost of a call, & do you know none of them wanted to deal with that. Each of them wanted to sell me long distance service!
