 戴爾．卡耐基 (Dale Carnegie) 是一位已過世的美國人，他最擅長的便是演說。他更了解到人類的一些天生的弱點，如喜歡人家跟自己談有關自己的事、需要別人對自己尊重等。於是他創製出一套理論，就著這些人性的弱點，來提高與人溝通的技巧而達至無往而不利。他在美國循迴演說，參加者日眾，他亦藉此成名。他出過一本名為「人性的弱點」的書，多年來已翻譯成多個不同語言版本。據聞該書是上世紀(1900-2000)全世界第三高銷量的書籍。前一陣子，有線電視也播放過一套關於他的專輯。而現在台灣也有被稱為台灣版卡耐基的人，在台進行溝通技巧的演說。
