(With her hands in his hair, he seemed to calm a bit, though he was fitful as he slept, his eyes shifting under closed lids and his breathing erratic. His dreams were so vivid and strange from the fever that he was experiencing them as though they were real. Moments after she arrived and started speaking to him, a medic arrived in the room and walked over to check on him, taking various measurements and blood and saliva samples. When he tried to wake Kyrian up by lightly tapping his cheek and talking to him, the sleeping man suddenly jerked awake and had the medic by the throat.. in his delirium the motion had transferred to his dream and he had been in the midst of battle. Suddenly awake, he realized what he was doing and released the man, who sputtered and stepped back from him.. the two men conversed for a moment, Kyrian's answers seeming to come from deep inside him in his sleepy condition. When the medic was done questioning him, he put an IV into his arm and hooked him up to give him fluids and electrolytes. He turned to look at Haylie and said that he could call up with the results of the tests.. but that Kyrian would have to be watched for signs of muscle seizures or hallucinations.. and with that he was gone.)
