Subject: Colour Depth Conversion

I have a B/W drawing which I need to scan and subsequently colour in. The graphic therefore needs to end up with a colour depth of 16 colours but as my scanner does not support ifcolor16 I am scanning to produce a 2 colour B/W image, and need to increase the image colour depth to 16 as an "after scan" operation. The clue looks to be in the NewImage method but I can not work out how to use it. The code from my OnAquire handler is:

Graphic := TPngGraphic.Create;
try
Graphic.AssignFromDibHandle(DibHandle);
Graphic.XDotsPerInch := XDpi;
Graphic.YDotsPerInch := YDpi;
Graphic.SaveToFile(string(CallBackData));
finally
Graphic.Free;
end;

TIA,

Bob
