MMR means Modified Modified Read Code and is a 2d compression used by G4 but could also be with G3.

MR (Modified Read Code) is a less effective 2d compression used by G3.

MH (Modified Huffman Code) is the "standard" 1d compression used by G3.

What means different?
The binary structure and even the filesize will be most certainly be different since this is the nature of different tiff encoder implementation: They will e.g. at least set different "Software" Tags.

I have written a TIFF/IFD reader giving you the possibility to display the content of the IFD and give possibly some enlightment.
