Subject: Altering an image

I have Envision 2.01 and need to alter hundreds of images at the same position. I would like to either block out a range of pixels (preferably referenced by vertical and horizontal inch location with a width and depth in inches) or overwrite the same region with a text block using letters of my choosing. Can this be done? If so, how and do you have any sample code?
