Subject: Various JPEG problems

In my application i am attempting to display jpeg's from a wide variety of sources outside my control. Normally it works fine. But occasionally i get various errors some from files that other viewers can handle.
Unsupported marker type Ox%02X -- the most common.
Cannot create file ...\Temp\En0 -- say what?
Invalid JPEG file structure: two SOF markers -- other apps may or may not show a fraction of this file
Out of resources -- say what?

and in the temp directory i found several files including one named "En0.ÅÐÓÆ C5D0D3C6" which is undeleteable and unrenamable.

Finally FYI i'm seeing JPG's that are otherwise acceptable for which the fourth byte of the file is not as expected.

Obviously I can't expect much in the way of help with the broken pix. But I do have questions.

Will the Delphi native JPEG image live in harmony with the Envision stuff?

What are the odds that the native JPEG graphic will hack stuff Envision doesn't?

Is there anyway to force the JPEG control to display what it can hack?

What's with the temp files?

Your time is appreciated. Incidently I did check out the FAQ and was pleased to read the one that fixed my problem with the image list.

This is with version 2.

Regards,
Al
