Subject: Form Templates

I don't want to recreate the wheel if someone else is willing to share. I'm skilled at most programming tasks except graphics.

I need to create a template scheme for documents that are to be scanned. The template would have fields that define areas within the scanned document that could then be OCR'd to check if that document fits the template. If so then the document would be further OCR'd for other field data that would then be stored along with the image. I've created the template and field definition files but I'm not sure how to go about geting the area selected and converting it to the source image coordinates considering zooming, screen resplution and all that. Field areas could be inverted or boxed and colored when in the field design mode and reset to original when not. Etc.

Anyone have any pieces of this puzzle that they are willing to share?

TIA

Ralph
