I've had great luck using eiStream Imaging Professional that used to be a Kodak product. It is the full version of the imaging programs included with NT4+. Included in the < $200 license are ActiveX modules, one of them being OCR. It has the training windows built right in so you don't have to mess with that. The only restriction would be that your customer buy a copy of the eiStream product but I'm thinking in most cases that is cheaper than licensing a copy of the OCR engine anyway! http://www.eistream.com/wmshome/wms/public/sales/products/_97.htm has a trial version and all.
