Subject: Convert from HBitmap to TBitmap

I have a problem. When I scan an image, twain returns HBITMAP. I use TBitmapgraphic and I call AssignFromDIBHandle (AssignFromBitapHandle does not work because I get invalid bitmap error) to load (convert) HBitmap image to BitmapGraphic. Image is converted but with one BIG problem. I acquire 1bit (Black/White) image but conveted bitmap (bitmapgraphic) is 24bit, so A4 format scanned with 300dpi is 35MB in size!!??. I don't know how this is posible. BitmapGraphic should also be 1bit. Can someone please help me.
