Subject: Prospective User - Is this possible

Hi,
I am considering purchasing Envision and I think it will be able to do what I need but thought I had better ask first.

I need to scan documents directly into a database. The part I need Envision for is to do the scan automatically when I call an executable from my database application (not Delphi)without displaying anything on the screen except a dialog box showing it's progress. I then need it to automatically save the scanned image automatically to a TIF file (packed bits) of a specific filename and location and then it needs to exit.

The important thing here is I do not want the Scanner interface screen to pop up. I just want it all to happen in the background except for the progress bar.

Is this possible?

I will be using Envision with Delphi 5.
