Subject: Finals Footy

Spent most of the weekend watching possibly 3 of the best games of footy all year.

Sydney V Hawthorn was Ok game for a half, but Hawks just blew them off the park. Can they get better with Buddy & Cyril added into the team? Its hard to see how!

Geelong V Freo a classic. Not sure I've seen a better finals game since the 96 prelim. Did we just witness the luckiest interchange ever?

Port v Pies. Have to admire the commitment of the Port team, and the passion of their fans. Unlike Collingwood fans. I've never seen fans desert their team as quickly as they did on Saturday night. The early train to Epping would have been standing room only.

Carl V Tiges. Amazing game. I think it proves the value of finals experience. Tiges were like a rabbit in the headlights when the blow torch was turned on them.

If the rest of the finals are anywhere near this good we are in for a cracker of a September.
