Carlton's experience and grit was important. Coaching even more so.
But Richmond's lack of run after half time was more physical than mental. That Reece Conca injury, forcing a sub at 10 minute mark of the first quarter, came back to bite. It was decisive.
In the third Carlton challenged - Richmond (eventually) stopped the rot - but too much energy was spent. Some Richmond supporters near me were howling about the lack of chase but they were wrong. You could see the players were physically f#cked in the final quarter.

I didn't watch the other games. I was too busy watching the election stuff. From what I've heard about Sydney, Carlton is a chance to Bradbury past another unfortunate opponent.
