Explain to me how it is a rort Pugs. Sydney is Australias most expensive city to live in. Many surveys of CPI indexes over the years have proven this. Sydney's COLA is applied to each players salary, ie salary x 1.098. This process is overseen by the AFL.

I'm all for your arguement Pugs. So lets assume Melbourne is your cost of living base, and all clubs salary caps are adjusted according to how much less or more expensive it costs to live in each city. (determined by an independent arbitrator agreed by all).

It would possibly give both Freo & WCE an additional x% above Melbourne based clubs, and if we are realistic, adjustments should be made downwards for both Port & Adelaide for the lower cost of living in Adelaide. Brisbane, I'm not sure about, and I think the Gold Coast is a pretty expensive region of Australia to live, so there's a possible increase for them.

There is no movement at all for Melb based clubs given that Melbourne is the base. Do you think the Melbourne based clubs would sign up for that? I don't think so.
