Subject: Sydney has more money to pay players.

There is a special rule that only applies to two clubs granting them a higher salary cap.

If there was a General Rule applied to all clubs it would be better.

The Cost of Living is only really relevant to small proportion of most players salaries. When your getting 400,000 most of your spending is pretty discretionary . On average wages it's more of a factor, footballers generally are on well above that and it's not a significant in their total remuneration. And footballers are really not exposed to teh general rental market, places are found for them when they move interstate, the club, other players, backers or families are often involved, are they really just renting places along with the general public? If you buy a house in sydney sure it's expensive but you get a more valuable asset.

All contracts/AFL management, it's a known factor to everyone involved in the negotiations, aside from slightly higher base salaries it; the application to all contracts, AFL management has ZERO effect on the process.
