Because the way I see it, spending more than everyone else is particularly McDonald's-like behaviour?

Of course there is nothing wrong with spending more while within the rules. Not challenging that at all. Nor am I advocating great changes to the current situation. The game is essentially in good shape although doing something to prevent further escalations in football spending is worth consideration.

Just challenging where Pert gets off using that "McDonald's" argument as a basis for defending the status quo. Because more than any club in Victoria, collingwood has become a "franchise" with no roots at all in the suburb after which it was named.
