No scoreboard, goal umpires don't record the scores, and every single one of them knows the score to the point. It will have no effect and whoever thought this would work has clearly never seen a game of junior footy.

The comp my son played in had a scoreboard, but didn't publish scores or ladder or best players. They used the scores to grade teams for the annual lightning premiership. This worked ok from my perspective. Kids forget about losing about 3 seconds after the siren sounds,
