Just a question - IF they are found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs ( and its a big IF ), would you consider what they have done greater than the systematic salary cap cheating that Carlton was found guilty of ?

Because, if so, then the penalties would clearly need to be greater. Im not sure if Carltons penalties were excessive or not, but they still havent recovered fully to this day.
2 years of draft exclusions isnt a great whack in my opinion. Adelaide FC don't seem to be too affected by it, I highly doubt Essendon will either.
Stripping them of premiership points for next year will be the biggest kick in the guts - fewer memberships, fewer gate takings etc. The fact that Demetriou wants to make a statement on this fiasco will not end well for Essendon.
