Subject: Hey all

Well, off to Adelaide tomorrow to take Mum to the accountant. I have talked her into getting one of those flash armchairs with electronic buttons to lay it back, a massager inbuilt and heat pads. We will go and suss them out. I told her at 84 she needed a better lounge chair and I've already helped her pick a better bed (her's was about 20 years old).
The orange picking is going well and halfway through, the weather has been very good to us.
Dudo, how's the baby going now? The premmy one in your earlier post.
Had some good news yesterday, a friend's daughter won $150,000.00 on a scratchy ticket. Her and her partner are mid 20's with two small children (she actually went to school with our son). I am so pleased for them, they say they will build a home now. In this area, that amount of money would buy a very nice block of land and home.
Had some not so good news as well. The lady who runs our local animal shelter had a house fire last week. Unfortunately, 6 of her pets (3 dogs and 3 cats) were in the home and didn't make it. She is a lovely lady and isn't at all concerned about her home, just her pets. It's heartbreaking. I just can't imagine losing 6 pets at once, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it....

Hi- happy shopping- those chairs look wonderful! Glad the oranges are going well- not many frosts, either.
The baby's ok at the moment- apparently next week, if things are going to go wrong, that's when they start!?
yes, I saw about the fire- she does such a good job, and has had enough battles to fight, without this happening! at least it was only a kitchen- I'm sorry for the animals- but it could have been a lot worse.
Mum has been very "poorly " the last few days- Tonite she's sitting by the fire, with a "doona" over her- it looks like she's in a car with an activated air bag!
where do you get your pet supplies? We go to The saddlery/pet store at Glossop. It's got pretty well everything- even hammocks for Ferrets!!

Dudo, hope your Mum is feeling better now. We just get our supplies at Coles and the vets (Jake is on a special diet). Were you aware that Rosedale Meats at Monash has 'roo mince and dogs biscuits and they are quite cheap. We buy the cats mince there - it's quite reasonably priced and fresh.

Susan, hope you find what you're looking for for your Mum.

It sounds like and up and down sort of time. Congrats to your friends daughter, and how sad for the lady who lost her pets.

Kylie
