Subject: Windy

Is Isabel supposed to be visiting Sydney? We're getting a bit of a windstorm right now. I actually rang dh to warn him in case he's planning to get up on any roofs.

Kylie, I think we had Isabel visit us yesterday. There's been lots of damage and the duststorm was awful. A couple of kids from the local primary school were injured when a tree fell on them, only slightly thank goodness.

Oh my goodness Susan (about the tree)! I'm glad to hear they were OK. Are you having to deal with any damage personally?

Kylie

No we have been lucky at our property, just limbs down, nothing major. We have been inundated with storm claims though (insurance adjusting business) and mostly it is rural sheds and the large Adelaide television antennas (freestanding between 60 and 80 foot) blown over.

One of the children that was hurt by the tree limb, actually had a broken leg, poor thing. The other two had cuts and bruises. I found out today when I had lunch with a friend whose children go to the same school.
