I am actually going to try and face my fear! (or learn to deal with it better). The girls at the pound are going to help me. There are chooks there, and they have some babies. They have a cuteish quality about them, don't they? Do they peck? They don't cluck like older ones...so we are going to try and start with them. Not right now though. But soon.

Good for you.Go slowly with it. Good idea starting off with cute, fluffy baby chickens.. they just go cheep.cheep (softly) and they don't peck. Hey, and even if a big chook does peck you, it doesnt hurt much.. not nearly as much a dog bite!! Keep away from males tho (roosters, not men!) some of them can be really vicious b......s.. but the girl hens are usually fine. If I can help talk your thru it..LOL! I'll be happy to do that!
Ellie.

Thanks Ellie,

I'm going to need all the help I can get with this! I'm actually going to the pound tomorrow, so I am really going to try and at least go near a baby chook. EEEEWWWW, gives me the shivers just thinking about it! But I shall let you know how I go! I actually really want to do this, cause I don't want to look like an idiot in front of everyone else in my class!
PS: I would rather a savage dog coming at me!!!
