Subject: Reminded of a few things!

I was just re-reading a couple of threads.

One was about pains and my suggestion of eating more celery. I don't always take my own advice, but this month we've been eating a lot of soups with celery in them and wonder of all wonders I hardly got any period pains this month. I did have incredible cravings for chocolate (even a headache until I had a Milo - paracetamol didn't help) instead. I wonder if my body is trying to tell me something. *grin*

The other thread was the Matrix Reloaded thread which brought to mind that I took the kids to watch Daddy Daycare not long ago and it was excellent, well worth going to see if you're finding that you need a good laugh.

I also picked up (for $35) a special deal for our local cinema where you pay to get a card which comes with three free movie tickets (must be used between certain dates) and then for the rest of the time before February next year you can buy tickets for yourself and three other people with you for $8.50 (normally $13.00 I think, know it's definitely in the teens somewhere). For people like dh and I who like going to the movies for a night out together this was a bargain.

Kylie

With regard to the celery, when I went to the health food shop about my bad headaches at the "wrong time of the month", she suggested celery tablets as they are a natural diruetic (sp?). Also, a little smile at the chocolate comment, unfortunately I too enjoy chocolate, probably too much (lol).
I actually saw some shorts of Daddy Daycare on Entertainment Tonight and it looked like a good fun movie.
I think we are very spoilt at the Deakin Cinemas in Mildura, they charge $8.00 for one person compared to Adelaide's $13.00 per person.

Still no results. Apparently we shouldn't expect any until halfway through the holidays. The head teacher said she will give us a ring when they come in.

I'm just glad that we're not waiting on ballet results. Apparently with the new system, they take five weeks to come through.

I have _always_ had period pains, Kylie, so I can sympathize. There have been days when I couldn't even get out of bed, the pain was just excruciating. But for the last month or so, they seem to have gone away, or at least have become tolerable so that I don't even have to take a Midol! What did I do? I enrolled in a gym -- guess the extra activity makes my body more able to handle pain, dunno really. But then, the downside of going to the gym are the muscle pains that come afterwards, especially if you're new to it, which I am. In fact, today, couldn't drive to work because my leg muscles were aching horribly, had to hitch a ride with hubby! :P
