WHY MUST YOU MENTION NIRVANA AND PEARL JAM IN COMPARISON TO SMASHING PUMPKINS.... IT ONLY FUELS THE IDEA THAT SP IS THE SAME AS THOSE BANDS "grunge" IS A DIRTY WORDS.... PUMPKINS R THE ONLY BAND FROM THAT ERA TO ACTUALLY EVOLVE MUSICALLY. NOT THAT THE OTHERS R BAD THEY JUST SHOULDN'T BE LABELED AS THE SAME TYPE OF MUSIC BECAUSE THEY ARE MUCH DIFFERENT

>rock out? fuck yes. is it worthy of basing an entire
>opinion about nirvana on it? no. jeremy? same thing.
>do i love the songs? sure. but because i say "least
>favorite" doesn't mean i don't like it. it means just
>that, of my favorites, it's not high on the list. i
>hate the fact that i heard it so much on Top 40 shit
>that i'm sick of it. anyway, my favorite SP songs are
>the longer, more emotional ones like Soma, Mayonaise,
>Thru the Eyes of Ruby, For Martha, and GatGC. radio
>hits and singles don't really do it for me as much
>anymore for most any band.
