"punch a republican in the face" - how cookie-cutter punk of you. "mindlessly consume" - yet again insulting those that actually believe that dave pajo has some musical ability, or anyone that might make a decision to give half an ear to the music of someone who's music and/or musical ability they respect. give the other readers here the benefit of the doubt of actually having half a brain before you start criticizing their choices. and while much of radio rock today really is just tepid, the guys making that music sure have my respect: i'd love to be able to say that i go to work every day, and make music that i enjoy (even though theirs might be utter trash), and meanwhile be able to retire a few years after having made that music. then i WOULD go to the beach. and chen, i'd also consider taking your own advice: "you guys should not take this so seriously" - i mean you got SHOCKED when dave pajo decided to play with eddie vedder (!?!?) (i hadn't heard that one yet, btw...) so i guess what you're really saying is that your respect for a person is based solely on their indie cred points. that's pretty shallow. and what of mr. vedder's wife's wonderful band bardo pond, do they lose face in your eyes simply because she's married to him? and again, mr. pajo, does he lose some brownie points because he doesn't want to go back to living on food stamps, as he once was because the spiderland checks from touch and go really were that small? shouldn't good music be good music, no matter who makes it? indie elitists unite!
