First of all, anyone who begins a posting with the "wisdom" of Kurt Cobain should remember a few things.

A.Was a major drug addict/alcoholic/godknowswhat
B.Was sexually attracted to Courtney Love
C.Reproduced with Courtney Love
D.Guy shot himself in the head

I mean, we all have our shortcomings, but Jesus.

As we who are really really passionate about what we listen too are labeled "coolies", I would like to label people who espouse the sentiments of major label rock stars as their own as "idiots".

Dont come at us with this bullshit. You dont know me, or any of us coolies, and to assume that we are "in college" or "living at home" is to show us your ass. On behalf of coolies everywhere, I apologize for not giving your hero Billy Corgan the "credit he deserves" for being such a great songwriter, but come on. Artists on major labels have to know that their schtick gets old after a few years, and the public moves on. Its what those millions of dollars make up for. You can retire in style at 33. Us coolies get sort of bent out of shape when washed up rock stars use their connections to discover who is really happenin in music, and go schmoozin. Its called a symbiotic relationship. And dropping a band when they become popular is akin to saying that "you never cared for them in the first place". Man-O-Man. You are something else.
