The strange thing is that only stupid music elitists are getting bent out of shape. Why aren't indie artists everywhere crying out? Why haven't you bothered to check out all the bootlegs flying around from the concerts?

To me, the thing that makes indie rock great is that the artists aren't untouchable. Maybe Billy became that because he understood how limiting being an indie rock band can be. Maybe he is over it but knows that people will be interested in him because of past works. The same goes with Pajo and Sweeney. Maybe that didn't want the bullshit that is thought to come with major labels. Maybe there is a middle ground found between the two worlds. The band is playing really, really shit small clubs and are playing some of the best stuff Billy has ever written, as witnessed by my own two eyes. So why don't you care about that and not how uncool Dave and Billy are for putting this together? I just think you need to grow up. This isn't high school. Its noise played to a beat.

But of course, only some Pajo and maybe Sweeney fans get all uptight at the notion of working with ex-Pumpkins. And they are the only ones who would be too cool to bother even seeing if this project is musically worthwhile. Get over yourself.
