Subject: I thought Mallard had been 4 times. However, every time she has placed. In order: 3rd RU, Top 15, 2nd RU, and 3rd RU. Maybe she's a Victoria Huggins. It's going to take 5 times. She's very pretty and talented. What did Howard do at Volunteer? She looks beautiful onstage and with all of her Helene Volunteer work I was surprised she did not make the cut. Have not seen Thomas that much until this year. Just figured with two preliminary wins and no Top 10, her interview must have gone terribly wrong.

    Who? Mallard or Howard? I've never heard anything negative about Mallard. Howard, on the other hand...... Miss NC girls should use the Volunteer program like other states used to use Sweetheart. Take a year off of Miss NC, win Volunteer, ccompete at nationals, make appearances all year long, gaining valuable experience and skills, and then go back to Miss NC ready for Miss America.
